Wake up to the sound of exotic birds calling for a beautiful sunny day and spot a giraffe from your bed when opening your eyes. Have a freshly brewed cup of coffee and a delicious breakfast or splash around in the pool while watching zebras or buffalos on a little morning walk.
All this can happen at Panzi and we would love to welcome you to our little paradise.
‘Panzi’, which is pronounced paan-zee and means ‘down below’ or ‘on the ground’ in Shangaan.
This name was chosen because the camp nestles comfortably in a beautiful wooded gully which is surrounded by magical indigenous trees and bush.
Panzi Lodge is a Swiss owner managed lodge where we guarantee a high standard of comfort. At the same time our South African managers are showing you what South African hospitality at its best means. We care about our guests and create a personalised wildlife experience during your stay.
Nestled in the typical bush of the Low-veld, Panzi Lodge caters for a maximum of 20 guests in 10 spacious and tastefully decorated Chalets. Each provides a private bathroom including flush toilets and an outdoor- as well as an indoor shower with hot water. All our Chalets are equipped with air condition, small fridges and hairdryers. You find your way to the main Lapa and the pool through a connected wooden pathway system.
We have recently built and opened our Mountain view self-catering house. This 2 bedroom house can sleep four people in two separate bedrooms, ideal for families or friends wanting to enjoy the bush while catering for themselves.
We are perfectly placed in the middle to experience safaris and wildlife as well as several other activities like Hot Air Balloon Rides, Canyoning, Zip-Lining etc., which the Kruger National Park, Blyde River Canyon, God’s Window and the local town Hoedspruit have to offer.
Panzi Lodge is located in the Greater Kruger Region in the Limpopo Province in South Africa, roughly 460 km from Johannesburg. Panzi Lodge is specifically situated within the borders of Guernsey Private Nature Reserve, which is 30 minutes outside of the Kruger National Park’s Orpen Gate and half an hour outside of Hoedspruit.
